Booty pop ?? I was scrolling through my old photos and came across these photos where I was trying to take one of those sandy bum pics ? I posted the right one back in January, but the left is the reality behind that photo ☺️ I still sometimes get a slight pang of sadness and jealousy when I see all the big beautiful bums on instagram and wish I could magically have what they have. Because sometimes I feel like all my booty gains are gone when I take photos where it looks smaller, but then I remember that I shouldn't compare my body to theirs. I have a great booty and so do they! It's all about posing/angles and nobody looks like that all the time. There's nothing wrong with posting a good photo of your booty, you should post it if you feel like it! Just remember that when you're scrolling through social media and see all the posed bums that you too have a great bum and that nobody looks like that 24/7 ☺️ It seems like big butts are the thing that so many people want currently. But remember that you don't need a big booty to be beautiful. All butts are good butts ☺️ All of our bodies are different and you don't need a specific body type to fit into what society defines as beautiful!! It's stressful and so messed up that body parts and types are going in and out of style- before it was being really thin, now it's having a big booty. That shouldn't be a thing. It causes so much stress and self hate to people who do not have these things. I know it's hard but instead of trying to obtain these things, love how you look now. Not how you'll look if you loose X amount of weight or get a bigger booty. Because trust me when you get to those things you'll just want something more. Be comfortable in your own skin no matter what angle, posed or unposed, and you'll radiate beauty! ?☀️ —————————————— . . . #bopowarrior #bootypop #allbodiesaregoodbodies #bootyfordays #bootybuilding #instagramvsreallife #beforeafter #selfconfidence #youareyou #dontchange #acceptyourself #bodypositive #lawofattraction #everyoneisbeautiful #selflove #bepresent #findyourself #dontcare #cellulite #effyourbeautystandards

Transformation Tuesday ??? Progress from January (after a holiday) to April! I haven't posted one of these in aaaages, but wanted to today cause I feel like my muscles have progressed in the past few months ? I almost didn't want to post this because it was so hard to get the same lighting and angles as the before photo, but I tried my best with what I had and literally took 103 photos to make them similar ? The difference between these photos workout wise is that I increased my weights from 10kg to 17kg, cut out cardio days (because I walk so much at uni- I get 10,000 steps everyday whereas before I'd barely hit 5000 steps) and started BBG again but I don't think it affects the change much because I've only been doing it for 2 weeks so far ? It's nice to see progress cause I felt like I had plateaued in fat loss for such a long time and didn't realise I'd lost the fat I put on during my holiday in December! (Mostly because I've still been eating like I'm on holiday ?) But I personally think the best way to see progress is through the way you feel, yes progress photos work but they aren't 100% accurate majority of the time, due to so many factors such as posing, lighting, angles, if you've ate etc. Instead try thinking about how you feel, are you happier? It's not always about the way you physically look, when I was looking my "best" (a lot thinner and my muscles were more visible), I wasn't mentally at my happiest point. Your best weight and body shape is when you are happiest! Progress doesn't always have to be physical, it can be mental too! And don't be disappointed if you aren't seeing progress, it takes time. Positivity and effort will get you there, don't give up!! I hope you get what I'm trying to say ? it's been a long day and I feel like I'm just rambling! ? But I hope you all have had a lovely Tuesday! ?☀️

Instagram vs reality ? Before I started being body positive on Instagram I would've posted the photo on the left (sucking in my tummy as much as possible) and said something along the lines of "gained a bit of fat this week" when in reality, what I look like relaxed currently is like the photo on the right. I wanted to post this to once again show that we shouldn't compare our bodies to the ones we see on Instagram because it's not always an accurate representation. I've had a really rough week emotionally, usually I try my best not to spiral down into the hole of negativity but this week it was really hard not to. I wanted to cut out junk/processed food during week days to lose some extra fat on my body, not that it really bothers me but the negative mindset made me think I looked gross and needed to immediately. I was being really hard on myself while doing this- every time I ate anything processed when I didn't have any prepped healthy meals at my house, I would instantly feel guilty and feel like a failure. I'm new to this whole food prepping thing so it's gonna take a bit of trial and error in terms of fitting in time to prep the food. But what I'm trying to say is that you really shouldn't be too hard on yourself. Everyone goes through their fitness journeys in different ways, what works for someone else may not work for you, everyone has their ups and downs because it is a journey after all! So don't beat yourself up if you have "slip ups"! Everyone looks different and it's completely okay and normal to have fat on your body! Just don't get too caught up on the negative thoughts or comparing your everyday body to someone's posed body, remember that you are beautiful no matter what. I hope you all have a lovely and positive Saturday! ?☀️

Standing up flexing vs sitting down relaxed ?? I've worked out for a year and a half now, yes I still have body fat and I will always have some sort of amount of body fat. That to me is completely okay and I see nothing wrong with it because I'm comfortable with how I look in both of these pictures! I'm so happy with the way I'm eating and working out now and I don't want to change that to lose a bit of fat. A year ago I would've hated the photo on the right and done hours of cardio and starvation diets thinking that's the way to get rid of fat and that the fat would be non existent after a year of working out. I'm not trying to shame anyone when I say this, but I thought this because I didn't see any fitness people ever show their fat while sitting down. Yes I've seen posts about being bloated and pinching a tiny amount of fat on their bodies but I couldn't relate to that and it used to make me feel ashamed for still having so much fat on my body compared to theirs. So I wanted to post this comparison of how I look flexed and standing vs sitting down and relaxed to show that I still have fat on my body and it's completely normal to have fat, especially on your tummy area!! Also we need to stop comparing our bodies to people we see in media or real life- yes they are beautiful but you are just as beautiful as them, even if it's in a different way. Your uniqueness makes you, you, so don't try and change that. Who wants to live in a world where everyone looks the same? Just love yourself for who you are and next time you feel insecure sitting down when in a bikini, DON'T because you look fabulous!!! I hope you all have an amazing Sunday ?☀️

Self care ?? If I flex really hard and am in great lighting I have 3/4ths of an ab ? As I've been on holiday, I've been eating everything I've wanted because I visited a new country and found so much delicious new vegan food to try! I didn't want to restrict myself from eating these foods because I don't get these kinds of foods here in South Africa so obviously I had to enjoy it while I could!! I regret nothing, even though I have gained a bit of fat and have been breaking out on my face! But since I'm back in South Africa now I've decided to indulge in a bit of self care to get myself back into a positive and healthy way of living. Today I've already done my eyebrows, put on a face mask and made myself feel all dolled up by putting on a bit of red lipstick ☺️ Also I'm gonna get back into my usual workout routine and eating a lot healthier than I used to. This doesn't mean I'm going to fully cut out junk food, I'm just going to eat more intuitively! If you're also going through fat gain and feeling sluggish due to a bit of overeating of junk food, please don't beat yourself up. That's the last thing you need! Just stay positive, keep loving your body, and practice self love so that you can start making your body feel better! Whether that's eating healthier, working out or just throwing on a face mask and taking a bit of me time ☺️ you never need to feel bad about fat gain, it's a thing that happens to everyone and is reversible if that's what you want! ☺️ Just be patient, keep positive and put in the effort! I hope you all have a lovely Monday and a great start to the week! ?☀️

Flexing vs relaxing ??? On the left I'm laying down and flexing as hard as I possibly can and on the right I'm just sitting and chilling ☺️ I know so many people want to have flat toned tummies. Instagram is filled with posts of toned, lean, flat tummies, but what you don't know is that they don't look like that 24/7. You can love fitness and workout tons and still have fat! As I've said before, fat is a completely normal thing to have!! So don't feel like you're not doing enough or that you should get rid of it if you have fat or tummy rolls when you sit down because it's completely normal! Having these things does not make you less attractive, it just means your a person with a body that does what bodies are supposed to do. All bodies are different and will look different sitting down (or doing anything) so there's no point in comparing your body to someone else's. you have an amazing body that you should be so proud of!! So go out there and next time you feel ashamed or vulnerable about your body, don't, because you are beautiful no matter what! I hope you all have a lovely Monday and a great start to the week!! ?☀️ —————————————— . . . #lawofattraction #bodypositivity #progressnotperfection #beforeandafter #bodyimage #mondaymotivation #flexing #bikinibody #beachbody #calvinklein #bodyfat #vegan #vegansofig #girlswholift #girlswithmuscle #weightlifting #bbg #selflove #youarebeautiful #veganfitness #motivation #fitnessmotivation #sweatwithkayla #honesty #screwthescale #weightlossjourney #beyou #beconfident #selfconfidence #embraceyourself

Siting down sucking in vs sitting down and relaxing ☺️? I used to be so self conscious about my fat showing while I sat down. I'd always suck it in and wear high waisted jeans while trying to hold that posture when I noticed people were looking at me ? but you know what?! Who cares! We all have fat, it's perfectly normal and okay! We need that fat layer on our tummies to protect our vital internal organs. You can still be fit/healthy and have fat! It's an absolutely normal thing that you should not be ashamed of! So next time you sit down and see that protective layer, thank it for saving you from not dying ? But in all seriousness, you don't need a "flat tummy" to be beautiful, you don't need to waste your energy sucking in your tummy! Humans come in all different shapes and sizes and regardless of that you are beautiful. It's your body, do whatever makes you happy and comfortable, if that means wearing high waisted jeans, then wear high waisted jeans! Don't let anyone tell you what you should and shouldn't wear or do to make your body "better". Because you're beautiful and unique the way you are now!! I hope you guys have a lovely Friday and an amazing weekend, I'll be flying on a plane to Finland tonight! ❄️? Sports bra from: @movebytwenty3

Not a transformation photo ??? In honour of hump day I once again wanted to make a booty pop vs normal standing photo, just to show that some of the booty photos you see in media are posed to accentuate the booty! Im not trying to call anyone out when I say this or say that all progress photos are like this, I even used to do this without thinking much about it and posted progress photos that had slight differences in stance in the before and after photos. I recently realised that this makes a huge difference and wasn't a complete accurate representation of my progress. I think people do this to show off their hard work from their best angles/poses because it does take a lot of patience, determination and effort. Also when you post a progress photo others do critique your body, saying things like you made no progress or there's no difference. So I understand why people do this, I just wanted to post this to show that you shouldn't look at someone's progress photos or just any posed photos and compare that to your body or the progress you've made. Everyone is different and loses weight/gains muscle in different places and in different periods of time! So don't worry if you feel like your progress is taking longer than others, it will come with time, it takes many months to build muscle or lose weight. It's personally taken me 18 months to start seeing visible arm progress because that's the place where my body shows the least progress and it's taken me a while to see what works for me! Remember that what works for someone else may not work for you so keep trying things out, be patient and don't give up!! ?? YOU GOT THIS ? Also if you ever feel the need to make a rude comment about someone- Just don't. What's the point? It just makes the person feel bad and you accomplish nothing by doing so. Also it's just plain rude, so please stop. Sorry for the long post, I just wanted to say one thing and it ended up turning into a long rant ? Thank you for reading and I hope you all have an absolutely amazing #humpday ??
